The Pre-FIT Consultation is a service provided by Hydro One at no cost to provide the information the applicant needs in order to complete their OPA FIT application.
Prospective Applicants may apply for a Pre-FIT Consultation for their project using Form A (or faxable version). Through the Pre-FIT Consultation process, Hydro One will assist applicants to identify the details of connecting a project to the grid such as: station capacity, station names, feeder designation, voltage, and potential point of connection.
If you do not wish to complete the online version of Form A, fill out the faxable version and fax it with other supporting documents as outlined in the form to 905-944-3308, Attn: Hydro One Business Customer Centre. Hydro One will respond to and meet with the applicant within 15 days of receiving a completed Form A. Proponents can obtain a portion of Hydro One’s Distribution Operating Map (DOM) related to their intended location by sending an email request to dxgenerationconnections@hydroone.com or by calling 1-877-447-4412 (chose option #2) with the following information:
- GPS co-ordinates of project location
- Station and Feeder (if known)
- Project Size (kW).
We encourage prospective proponents to arrange for a Pre-FIT Consultation with Hydro One if the point of connection is unknown.
