How is this solution different to your previous paperless billing option epost?

These email notifications provide value added features such as:

  1. Email from Hydro One notifying you when your bill is ready
  2. Direct link to view Invoices and make payments via our "myAccount" site
  3. Alert for Payment Due
  4. Alert for Payment Overdue
  5. High usage alert
  6. One location "myAccount" to access programs, tools and tips to manage your electricity account.

Who is eligible for the Paperless Billing service?

All customers are eligible for Paperless Billing except for Generators.

How do you register to paperless billing?

  • Alternatively, you can log on to the MyAccount website and click on "Billing & Payment Options" then "Bill Delivery Options" and "Unsubscribe."

When will I receive the paperless billing notifications?

You should receive the paperless billing notification starting the next calendar day after the bill is generated.

Why is Hydro One offering usage alerts?

Hydro One is offering usage alerts services to help customers manage their electricity usage before the new bill becomes available.

How does the high usage notification work?

When you sign up for usage alerts, Hydro One will send you an email alert to let you know if you are trending to use more than 30% of your electricity usage compared to last year. The alert would arrive between the 7th and 21st day after you received your prior bill.

Who is eligible for the High Usage alert?

The usage alerts are available to a subset of our residential customers. You can check if you are eligible by accessing your myAccount profile.

  • New customers and customers that have moved can sign up once we have the required 13 months of usage history for time-of-use accounts.

I am already registered to the electronic bill notification through epost.
Will I be automatically switched over?

No, you won’t automatically be registered. If you would like to sign up for paperless billing, visit www.HydroOne.com/myAccount and log in to myAccount or register for myAccount. Once logged in click on the “Sign up” link under “My Billing Plans – Bill Delivery Paperless”.
