Call Before You DigIf you plan to install a fence, build a deck, put in a pool, or plant a large tree, have a cable locate done to ensure you don't come into contact with underground electrical cables. Hitting a cable with a shovel or digger could cause severe injury, even death. By contacting us before you dig, you'll stay safe and avoid unnecessary damage to buried lines.

After we receive your request and we determine that there are cables on your property, a service representative will visit your premises and mark them from your property line to your meter, free of charge. Your request will be completed within five business days.

To arrange an underground cable locate, log in to My Account Self Service (choose "Service Requests") or download and submit our faxable request form, or contact our Customer Communications Centre by email or telephone (1-888-664-9376). We will respond within three business days. Contractors can visit Contractors' Self Service, contact us, or submit a faxable request form.

Please be aware that we can only tell you about our electricity cables, so please contact all other utilities to locate their cables.
