Giving Guidelines
Our Community Donations Program funds charitable organizations delivering innovative community programs. We focus our charitable giving on four areas:
Preference is given to organizations that are registered charities, provide provincial or significant regional coverage, and have measurable impacts and achievements.
Exclusions
The following are not eligible for support:
- Religious organizations for sacred or sectarian purposes
- Political parties, ridings, associations and candidates
- Individuals
- Commercial and/or third-party fundraising initiatives.
How do I apply?
There are three steps to submit a donation request:

Ensure that your organization or project aligns with our giving guidelines. Also, review our list of Exclusions above. If you see that your request falls outside of our giving guidelines, it is unlikely that your request will be approved. |

Read our application instructions so that you can assemble and prepare the information you will require to apply through our easy-to-use online application form. |

Open our online application form, complete and submit it. |
Once you apply
When you submit your completed online application, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your request. After we conduct a preliminary review of your application, we will update you on the status of your request by email within 30 business days of your submission.
Due to the large volume of requests we receive, email is the best method of keeping you up-to-date regarding the status of your request.
