An Environmental Assessment Report, Hydroelectric Generating Station Extensions Mattagami River (PDF - 28.9 MB - High-speed Internet required), was filed with the Ministry of Environment in 1990 and approved in 1994, in accordance with the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. This report will be updated to confirm if any changes to environmental and technical factors have occurred.
The addition of the second circuit requires a Leave to Construct approval from the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) under section 92 of the OEB Act. Hydro One is planning to file this application in conjunction with OPG in April 2009.
Hydro One filed an application with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB) on April 8, 2009, under section 92 of the Ontario Energy Board Act, 1998, for Leave to Construct the transmission facilities for the Lower Mattagami Transmission Reinforcement Project.
