Working to Meet Your Community’s Growing Electricity Needs

 Electricity demand in the Orleans area is increasing and the existing stations that supply the area are operating at their maximum capacity. A new station is required to ensure the continued safe and reliable power supply to homes and businesses.

 The proposed transformer station will connect to Hydro One’s existing 230 kilovolt (kV) and 115kV transmission line and will step down power supplied from the high-voltage transmission lines to a lower voltage for distribution. Up to eight distribution feeders will carry power from the station to local homes and businesses.

 Hydro One has identified an area of interest for the proposed station.
