"In the summer of 2001, I came to work for Hydro One as a co-op student on a four-month internship. At the time, I knew very little about the company but I was optimistic that my co-op term would be a good learning experience. During those four months, Hydro One not only challenged me but it also gave me a glimpse of the enormous opportunities that exist within the company.

My experience as a co-op student at Hydro One impressed me so much that one year later I decided to return to the company as a permanent employee on the New Graduate Training Program. Having just graduated from the Engineering Science Program at the University of Toronto I was looking for a company where I could use my multi-disciplined engineering background and where I could grow personally and professionally. So far, Hydro One through its New Graduate program has allowed me the opportunity to do just that.

Part of my training allows me to change departments every four to six months for my first two years. As a young engineer having just started my career, I believe that it is this unique program that sets Hydro One apart from most other companies. Rotations in different departments will not only allow me to learn from the many senior engineers who are eager to share their knowledge and skills with me, but it will also allow me to become intimately involved in many aspects of the organization.

In summary, I have found Hydro One to be a supportive, intellectually stimulating work environment that offers a variety of challenges. Whether you are a student looking for a co-op placement or someone who has graduated and is looking for permanent employment, I highly recommend Hydro One to you."
