Sponsorships

Hydro One is proud to support a variety of community-based events throughout Ontario. It's our way of connecting with our customers and communities. If you're organizing an event, we'd like to hear from you.

We prefer to support local community events that attract a broad audience; they should be one of the major events on the community calendar.

Preference is given to events that occur in Hydro One communities. Because we cover such a large geographic area, we make every attempt to spread our support throughout Ontario.

While we applaud charities that raise funds through special events, we prefer to support charitable organizations through our Community Citizenship Program, not through sponsorship. Exceptions may be made where a number of our employees are volunteers with the organization.

Sponsorship Guidelines

Hydro One is proud to sponsor community-based events. Preference is given to those events that are:

• Organized and executed by not-for-profit community groups and municipalities
• Provide an opportunity for Hydro One employees to volunteer
• Are held in Hydro One communities.

Exclusions

• Events held in support of political parties, ridings, associations and candidates
• Religious organizations for sacred or sectarian purposes
• Commercial events.

How do I apply?

There are three steps to submit a sponsorship request:

1. Ensure that your organization or project aligns with our sponsorship guidelines. Also, review our list of ineligible organizations and projects. If you see that your request falls outside of our giving guidelines, it is unlikely that your request will be approved.
2. Read our application instructions so that you can assemble and prepare the information you will require to apply through our easy-to-use online application form.
3. Open our online application form, complete and submit it.

Once you apply

When you submit your completed online application, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of your request. After we conduct a preliminary review of your application, we will update you on the status of your request by e-mail within 15 business days of your submission.

Due to the large volume of requests we receive, e-mail is the best method of keeping you up-to-date regarding the status of your request.
