Hydro One Board of Directors Announced

Toronto, August 15, 2002 - Glen Wright, Chair of Hydro One Inc. today announced the appointment of the company’s Board of Directors replacing the interim Board that was announced on June 11, 2002.

The members of the Board of Directors are:

Dr. Heather Munroe-Blum
Hon. Bob Rae
Kenneth D. Taylor
Adam Zimmerman

“I would like to thank all of the members of the Interim Board for their efforts over the past two months,” said Wright. The new Board term is in effect until the next annual meeting with the shareholder.

Wright also announced that he will continue in his role as Chair of Hydro One and has taken a leave of absence for up to one year from his responsibilities as Chair of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Wright said Ron Hikel, a current member of the WSIB Board, will assume the role of Interim Chair of the WSIB during this time.

Hydro One Inc., which is owned by the government of Ontario, operates the largest electricity transmission and distribution systems in Ontario and directly serves more 1.2 million customers.
