Beth Summers appointed Acting Chief Financial Officer

Toronto, March 8, 2004 - Tom Parkinson, President and CEO of Hydro One Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Summers as Acting Chief Financial Officer. Beth will be replacing Ken Hartwick, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Hydro One Inc., who has announced that he will be leaving Hydro One to join Ontario Energy Savings Corporation as their Chief Financial Officer. Beth joined Hydro One from Ernst and Young as Corporate Controller in March 2001 and has played a key leadership role in the finance function.

Tom would like to thank Ken for his contributions to Hydro One Inc. over the last few years, and wish him well as he pursues new challenges in the private sector.
