Transmission System PROJECTS

The transmission system is Ontario's electricity highway. Through it, we send vast amounts of electricity from hydroelectric, wind, solar, nuclear and coal-burning generators over long distances to the local distribution companies (LDCs) that deliver it to Ontario homes and businesses. We work with our customers and communities to deliver a safe and reliable supply of electricity and to ensure that our transmission system has sufficient capacity.

While every project is unique, there are similarities in the planning process for new transmission system projects.
