For a limited time only, you could be eligible for up to $3,000* in financial assistance through our Small Business Pandemic Relief Program. This program will help connect businesses to the Government of Ontario’s COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program and offer additional financial relief and flexible payment plans.

Combined with the Government of Ontario’s COVID-19 Energy Assistance Program for Small Business (CEAP-SB), Hydro One’s new relief program will help connect customers with up to $3,000 in financial assistance.
With CEAP-SB, small businesses and registered charities may be eligible for up to $1,500 in support towards their electricity bills. Newly eligible businesses and prior successful applicants with current outstanding arrears can apply for these enhanced benefits starting in January 2021.
Your small business or registered charity qualifies for support if:
As of the date you are applying, your small business or registered charity has an active account with Hydro One. You will be required to provide your registered business number or registered charity number.
Your small business or registered charity is classified as a general service less than 50 kilowatt (kW) customer.
As of the date you are applying, your small business or registered charity has overdue amounts owing from one or more previous electricity bill(s) incurred since March 17, 2020, the date of the initial Provincial Declaration of Emergency.
Eligible small businesses and registered charities may qualify for:
A one-time credit of up to $1,500 in support.
If you previously received funding under this program and are reapplying based on overdue amounts still owing, you may qualify for additional funding up to a total combined maximum credit of $1,500.

It’s a temporary program that provides one-time, on-bill credits to small businesses and charitable organizations who have experienced hardships because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Small businesses and charitable organizations must meet certain eligibility criteria to qualify for this program and submit an application form.
If your business qualifies for support, you’ll be eligible for a one-time credit of up to $1,500.
Depending on the amount of your overdue balance, this one-time credit may pay it off completely or partially.
The following business are ineligible for support:
Government agencies or publicly funded organizations that aren't a registered charity
Public and private schools (including post-secondary)
Commercial and residential common use areas
Outdoor/street lighting and telecom equipment
General service accounts greater than 50 kW (demand-billed)
Your business may be eligible for our Pandemic Relief Program that provides financial assistance and increased payment flexibility to customers affected by COVID-19. Learn more here.
We’ll notify you by email or mail if your application is approved as well as the amount of the one-time credit that will be applied to your bill.
For businesses whose applications aren’t approved, we’ll notify you by email or mail with the reason why your application wasn’t accepted.
We’ll process all applications on a first-come, first-served basis.
As we have exhausted our current CEAP funding, processing new applications will be temporarily delayed until we receive additional CEAP funding from the Government of Ontario.

If your application is approved, a one-time credit amount will appear on your next bill or the following one, depending on where you’re in the billing cycle.
The credit will appear as a “Miscellaneous Adjustment” on page two of your bill.
