You do your best to save money, but appliances, light bulbs and other items in your home that are old and out of date can make your electricity costs higher than necessary. The Home Assistance Program (HAP) offers FREE energy-efficient upgrades and an in-home visit with an energy expert to help save you money and make your home more comfortable.

Live in an eligible non-profit housing property

Your gross household income for last year is not more than these income levels:

  • Allowance for the Survivor

  • Guaranteed Income Supplement

  • Allowance for Seniors

  • Ontario Works

  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)

You received a Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) grant or were part of the Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP) in the past 12 months.
