Hydro One’s Tree and Vegetation Maintenance
Hydro One is working in your community to ensure a safe and continued supply of power to the City of Toronto. To keep the power on, our crews need to make sure a safe distance exists between power lines, trees and other vegetation as shown on the map above. This important work keeps the corridor and your backyards safe for public use and gives our crews access to the power lines for emergency repairs. As part of this project, we are looking to contribute to existing community projects to plant trees off-corridor.
On October 5, 2021, Hydro One hosted a virtual meeting to share more details about our approach to vegetation maintenance, and what to expect in the coming months. The presentation was followed by a question and answer period with the team. Please see a recording of the virtual meeting below:
