The spring ice storm was a generational event that devastated parts of central and eastern Ontario—uprooting trees, collapsing lines and toppling thousands of poles. Our crews responded around the clock alongside Canadian utilities and contractors to restore power across the province. These are places we live, work and care deeply about, and through the Ice Storm 2025: Recovery Grant, we’re here to help communities rebuild.

Meet the recipients

Through the grant, 12 First Nations and 38 municipalities were selected to receive up to $10,000 in support. From replanting more than 350 trees in the Township of Selwyn to repairing cultural gathering grounds within Sheguiandah First Nation, the grants will help relief and recovery efforts in areas heavily impacted by the storm.
