ACT Foundation

Advanced Coronary Treatment (ACT) Foundation

Since 2000, Hydro One has provided important support to help the ACT Foundation train high school students in CPR across Ontario. The Foundation has already established the CPR program in more than 800 high schools and more than 2.8 million youth across Ontario have been trained to date. ACT raises funds for CPR mannequins and AED training units for all high schools, trains teachers as CPR instructors for their students and guides schools in program set-up.

Coaches Association of Ontario

Coaches Association of Ontario

We’ve partnered with the Coaches Association of Ontario to launch Safe Sport 101, a virtual resource hub providing safety tools and resources for coaches so they can keep sport safe, fun and inclusive. The partnership also debuted the Hydro One Safe Play award, as part of CAO's annual Ontario Coaching Excellence Awards, and the Return to Coaching Community Grant to provide support for coaches and teams to continue to play safe.

Our Community Investment program is committed to supporting to communities where we live and work. Through local donations and sponsorships, we are helping build safe communities. We support programs, events and initiatives that focus on safety training and safe play. We encourage you to apply and tell us how your organization is making communities safer.

Donation & sponsorship criteria

We provide donations to community projects, initiatives and programs that align with our commitment to building safe communities. Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Apply for funding

Applications must be submitted through our online application form to be considered for funding.

Eligibility
  • First Nations communities
  • CRA registered charities
  • Well-established partners that are considered experts in their area(s) of specialization
  • Able to report accurately and transparently on community investment activities and impact
  • Willing to collaborate on stakeholder and employee engagement opportunities
Exclusions

The following types of organizations/proposals are not eligible for Community Investment funding:

  • Political parties, riding associations and candidates
  • Lobbying or advocacy organizations
  • Trade organizations, Chambers of Commerce or professional organizations
  • Faith-based organizations for sacred or sectarian purposes
  • Individuals/families
  • Commercial and/or third-party fundraising initiatives
  • Private or corporate foundations
  • Sports teams
  • Charity or non-profit advertising or promotional campaigns
  • Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, colour, ethnicity, creed, religion, gender, gender identity and/or expression, national origin, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, age, pregnancy, disability or political affiliation
Once you apply

When you submit your completed online application, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your request. After we conduct a preliminary review of your application, we will update you on the status of your request by email within 30 business days of your submission. Due to the large volume of requests we receive, email is the best method of keeping you up-to-date with the status of your request.
