Region overview

The Greater Bruce/Huron area is located to the west of the greater Toronto area in southwestern Ontario. The region includes the municipalities of Arran–Elderslie, Brockton, Kincardine, Northern Bruce Peninsula, and South Bruce. It also includes the township of Huron-Kinloss.

Current status

The third regional planning cycle for this region has been completed with the completion of Regional Infrastructure Plan in April 2025. It was kicked off in May 2024 beginning with the Needs Assessment (NA). The NA report for this region was completed in September 2024. As recommended by the Technical Working Group, no further regional planning coordination was required at this time for the Great Bruce/Huron Region. The needs identified in the NA report proceeded directly to the Regional Infrastructure Plan phase.​
