Region Overview

The Niagara Region comprises the municipalities of City of Port Colborne, City of Welland, City of Thorold, City of Niagara Falls, Town of Niagara-On-The-Lake, City of St. Catharines, Town of Fort Erie, Town of Lincoln, Township of West Lincoln, Town of Grimsby, Township of Wainfleet, and Town of Pelham. Haldimand County has been included in the Niagara Region Group 3 for Regional Infrastructure Planning Needs Assessment.

Current Status

The second Regional Planning cycle for this region was completed with publishing of RIP report in July 2023. It is expected that the Third Regional Planning cycle will be initiated in 2026 or earlier with the completion of the Needs Assessment report.​​​​​​
