Energizing Tomorrow

Ontario-wide

Thank you for helping plan the electricity grid of the future

In September 2020, all Hydro One customers were invited to take part in our Your Power, Your Choice Electricity Workbook. Ontarians were asked to help us plan the electricity grid of the future.

The feedback gathered will help us build and maintain an electricity system that energizes life and the economy in Ontario – supporting local economic growth, jobs and fast-growing industries.

Later this year, our 2023-2027 investment plan will be submitted to the Ontario Energy Board for review and approval.

Customer research has informed the largest investment decisions in our plan including pole and transformer replacements, battery storage solutions, grid modernization, and expansion to support economic growth.

We heard just how important it is to:

  • Proactively replace aging infrastructure to offset far more costly repair, maintenance and emergency work in the future

  • Make investments to improve reliability

  • Make the system more resilient.

By investing and upgrading electricity infrastructure in local communities, we will be able to support economic recovery at a time when it is needed most. Accessibility, affordability and advocacy are at the forefront of everything we do.

Together we will build a better and brighter future for all of Ontario. We look forward to sharing the 2023-2027 investment plan with you later this year.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to help us advocate for what matters most to you.
