Spotlight

A generational ice storm

In March 2025, a destructive, multi-day ice storm swept across Ontario, damaging communities and local infrastructure and leaving many customers without power. Crews worked day and night in extreme conditions and teams across the business came together to keep customers safe and informed throughout restoration efforts.

To support communities in real time, we launched the Ice Storm 2025: Recovery Grant, providing up to $10,000 in funding for 12 First Nations and 38 municipalities. The grant supported local recovery efforts with a total investment of $500,000.
