LDA Performing Work

If your onsite transformation is cumulative >2MVA, then you are a Large Distribution Account (LDA). For any work that may require an outage and /or work protection, be sure to fill out an Outage Request Form and submit it to OGCCOPCWP@hydroone.com no later than 10 business days prior to the outage. Please also ensure that your contractor has a copy of your Hydro One issued Contact List in case they need to contact us. Hydro One provides one free disconnect and reconnect (during normal business hours) per calendar year.

If you’re performing any electrical work that requires inspection an ESA connection authorization will be necessary prior to reconnection.

If you plan to dig you are required by law to obtain a locate before conducting any type of digging. A locate is a free service and is arranged by Ontario One Call. To complete your request for a locate simply visit ontarioonecall.ca or call 1-800-400-2255 24h/7d. Ontario One Call will notify all underground infrastructure owners in the vicinity of the dig area that a locate has been requested. Common underground infrastructure can include but is not limited to: Electricity wires, gas pipes, water mains and communications cables. Please provide at least 5 business days’ notice.
