Tropical storm Fiona swept through Atlantic Canada this past weekend,
causing massive destruction and widespread power outages throughout the
province. An estimated 400,000 Nova Scotia Power customers have lost
power due to the extensive damage.
We’ve sent over 30 employees to Nova Scotia to help restore power
following the devastating effects, to help get the lights back on for
customers as quickly and safely as possible.
In May, Ontarians experienced a violent derecho storm that affected
over 650,000 customers. Utility partners from across North American
came to support Hydro One and our customers during that time, and now
it’s our turn to support a province in their time of need.
