Customers initiate the Green Button Connect My Data® sharing process through the website/application of an authorized Third-Party Vendor. The customer will then be redirected to Hydro One’s web page for authentication and completion of the Green Button Connect My Data® authorization process.
The sharing of data is indefinite with an authorized Third-Party Vendor. Customers have the option to revoke access at any time.
Vendors need to register with Hydro One and review and accept our Third-Party Terms and Conditions. To become an authorized vendor, please fill out our onboarding application form.
No. Customers must make their own online authorizations through one of the available methods and authenticate with the utility before a security token can be exchanged and data shared.
