The power of sport on Ontario’s youth

Affordability is one of the top reasons why many families are unable to register their children for local sports.* Hydro One is working with KidSport to provide access to quality sport programs for children and youth.

We know the communities where we work, live and play need our support, and we feel a responsibility to partner with organizations and municipalities that are working tirelessly to keep their communities safe and active.

Charitable organization, KidSport Ontario, helps youth aged 18 and under experiencing financial hardships access sport programs by providing financial assistance for registration and equipment fees. They believe the power of sport participation promotes development of children's social, mental and physical well-being. Through increasing access to quality sport programs, KidSport strengthens communities across Ontario and Canada.

"Now more than ever, donations like this are needed to bring more kids off the sidelines to experience all the incredible benefits sport has to offer. Through sport, we will build stronger, more vibrant communities across the province."

Through our support, KidSport is able to help upwards of 150 kids play their favourite sport this upcoming season; kids who otherwise would be left on the sidelines.
