We're making today brighter

Sharing a common goal of eliminating serious injuries and fatalities at Hydro One, the Safety Improvement Team connected with more than 4,200 workers across the company and provided concrete recommendations for our multi-year implementation plan.

Our safety program supports our employees’ mental health by offering resources, including The Working Mind, an evidence based program developed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada to promote mental health and reduce the stigma around mental illness in the workplace.

Our plans for a better tomorrow

Implement the recommendations made by our employee-led Safety Improvement Team.
Provide Human Success training to all team members to create a culture that empowers people to speak up, and reinforces behavioural habits to minimize the likelihood of errors.
Focus on reducing stigma associated with mental illness in our workplace, ensuring people leaders have training that encourages them to demonstrate psychologically safe and healthy behaviours.

As a part of the BlackNorth Initiative Pledge, we are focused on achieving 3.5% Black executive and board directors and 5% Black student hires by 2025.

We have a gender balanced Board of Directors with five women and five men on our Independent Non-Executive Board. We believe this balance makes us one of the most gender-progressive boards in North America.
